The Wings Foundation, Inc.

Mission Statement

“The stated mission of Wings shall be to form a grassroots volunteer organization that collects and administers funds from and for Flight Attendants on the American Airlines Inc. System Seniority list who are in critical need of financial assistance as a result of illness, injury, or disability; or who are out of sick time; or who are without disability benefits; or those who have had a catastrophe or disaster which causes major hardship that would justify financial support.”

Dear Flight Attendant:

Welcome to the Wings Foundation. We realize that this is a difficult time for you and we would like to make applying for assistance as easy as possible. The following application has a check-list to assist you.

​

Wings endeavors to assist flight attendants that are on the sick list and are out of sick time or almost out of sick time, with basic living expenses and is designed to be a bridge.  The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Live and Work Well (www.liveandworkwell.com) are available to assist you with financial grants and credit counseling.

Please review the list of additional resources available on this page, to discover additional charities and organizations in your area which may be able to assist you in your time of need.

Please keep in mind that The Wings Foundation is not an insurance or disability policy. The Wings Foundation exists through the generosity of your fellow flight attendants and volunteer committee members.  Wings Foundation Assistance is intended be a bridge of temporary support.
